Danny began his journey into CrossFit in 2013. Since walking in, Danny has left the coaches, and his fellow members, at Creature in awe of his attitude and transformation. Affectionately known as "Raah" inside the box, he is an example of what happens when some body commits their heart and soul to personal development through physical training.
Sine beginning Danny has quit smoking, improved his diet, transformed his body composition and reformed his outlook on life. You will find Danny giving 100% for every minute of class at 9:30am and working on his weaknesses during Creature Open Gym.

Q1. How has CrossFit changed your life outside of the gym?
Crossfit has impacted many aspects of my life and all in a positive light. I'm definitely more driven in life and career, and ready for any challenge either throws at me. Working in a pub the skills/techniques I've learnt are all transferable. From picking up a coin off the ground to flipping kegs, I am more conscious in the way I move and practice good technique.
Q2. What is your next goal?
I'm working towards a 120kg clean.
Q3. How long and have you been doing CrossFit?
I've been doing CF for one and a half yrs, don't think I'd do anything else ever!!!
Q4. Favourite WOD and Lift?
Fave WOD: "The Chief" Gotta go in amped and grind it out!!!
Fave lift: Clean for sure.
Q5. Tell us about the 9:30am “crew”`
The 9:30 Crew are awesome that's for sure!!! I'd say we start the day with really interesting topics. People from all walks of life from students, mothers, yoga instructors and police officers.
Q6. How has the ‘Community’ and Creature helped you overcome some negative habits outside the gym?
Well, I'd been a smoker for over 10 years. I'm happy to say that I've been smoke free for over a year now and have never felt better. What I love about the CF community is the support everyone gives each other, It's not the first to finish gets the cheers but the last. The coaches at Creature always have time for you, are more than happy to answer questions and offer pro tips. I'm really enjoying the articles being posted by the coaches, very informative and practical.
